Jonathan Kagimu, originally from Bbunga-Ggaba, a suburb of Kampala, Uganda, has dedicated his life to ministry, education, and leadership development. Raised in Bbunga Trading Centre, his journey of faith began in 2004 when he joined Maranatha Christian School in Ggaba. It was there that he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior and became actively involved in Sunday School at Gaba Community Church.
A defining moment in his spiritual journey came in 2008 when he read God’s Generals: Why Some Failed and Why Some Succeeded, a book that ignited an unquenchable hunger for God. Jonathan grew spiritually under the mentorship of his pastor and spiritual father, Pastor Peter Kasirivu, at Gaba Community Church, where he also devoted over a decade to serving in the youth ministry. In 2012, during his senior six vacation, he encountered Apostle Grace, who deepened his understanding of God’s Word and spiritual realities, further shaping his calling.
Jonathan is a trained educator, holding a Bachelor of Arts with Educationand a Master of Education in Policy, Planning, and Managementfrom Kyambogo University. He has served as a high school teacher at Maranatha High School and later as Head Teacher at Destiny Preparatory School in Seeta-Lumuli, where he found great joy in shaping young minds. His passion for education grew even further during his five years as a Programs Officer for Education and Healthat Africa Renewal Ministries, where he worked to ensure that over 5,000 children across Uganda had access to quality education and healthcare.
Currently, Jonathan is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Baylor University in the United States. He is married to his wonderful wife, Harriet, and together they are raising their delightful daughter, Zoe Mirembe Kagimu.
A gifted speaker and minister, Jonathan is widely known for his engaging preaching and deep desire to see lives transformed by the gospel. With a heart for revival, he continues to serve as an apostle, teacher, and leader,equipping individuals and communities to grow in faith and purpose.
